Are you drinking enough water? Chances are you aren't. Proper hydration is important for a myriad of reasons. It aids metabolism, cushions your joints, lubricates sliding surfaces in your muscles, allows for proper circulation, and helps to cool you when you are raging. Dehydration causes headaches, cramping, impedes thermoregulation, and makes working out and recovering from it a lot less enjoyable. Make sure you are drinking enough. There are many suggestions available on the net as to how much to drink a day, but my nutrition teacher used to recommend trying to not get to the point of being thirsty because thirst is a sign that you are all ready dehydrated. Bring a water bottle to fill up from our ice cold cooler and drink up.
